CRGP’s 7 a-side football team have won the Glasgow League of Architects 2010 Title.

After coming heartbreakingly close in previous seasons they finally went one better.

It all came down to the final game of the season between the top two teams with CRGP having a 2 points lead over BDP. CRGP being the best defensive team only conceding 22 goals in 17 games and BDP being the highest scorers.

The game started with a fast tempo and CRGP took the lead at half time with 2 goals from Steven Strang. A string of great saves from Jack Brunjes (while nursing a broken finger!) behind sterling defensive work kept CRGP in the lead and eventually winning the close fought battle 3-2. This was a mirror of the previous league game between the two, where BDP won another tense struggle by the same score. (A diplomatic veil will be drawn over the result when both teams meet in the cup).
