This Social housing regeneration masterplan has stitched 96 new build housing units into an existing housing estate. The complex and multiple phased strategy took over four years to complete and delivered exceptional housing which are economical, robust and low maintenance to meet the needs of the community and leave a legacy on the Inverclyde area. A mix of modern 1, 2 & 3 bed front door, back garden dwellings, cottage flats and fully wheelchair accessible homes carefully considered to create open, welcoming and safe streets, stitched into the existing estate fabric with good overlooking of public spaces, new public pathways to aid pedestrian permeability and safe green amenity spaces with high quality and robust landscaping.
The project incorporated Housing for varying needs general requirements, Secure By Design Silver standard as minimum and Silver level in terms of sustainability.
